Dr. Yujie Yang is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2026, where he also earned his B.Eng. degree in Automotive Engineering in 2021. He has also conducted research as a visiting student in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in 2024. His research interests include safe reinforcement learning theories, algorithms, and applications to autonomous driving and robotics.
