About
Dr. Pankaj Sharma, B.Ed., M.Sc., B.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D. (Botany), PGDIPR, PGDWGS presently working as Nodal Officer, Green mentor & Biodiversity (NEP/HEI) at University Centre of Excellence for Research (UCER), Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab, India. He obtained his PhD in Botany from Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand. Earlier he was associated with H.P. State Biodiversity Board, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment & Sustainable Development (formerly known as GB Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Development), Almora, Uttarakhand.
Dr. Sharma has written/edited more than 25 books on agroforestry, biodiversity, climate change, environmental issues, biotechnology, medicinal plants, conservation biology, etc. and more than 70 research and review papers in national, international journals, proceedings and books. He has written more than 25 Hindi articles in many popular magazines. Dr. Sharma is the fellow and life member of several academic societies. He is in the advisory/editorial board/reviewer of several international journals. He has more than 18 year’s research experience in the field of Biodiversity Conservation and Management.
