About

Shireesh kumar rai received the B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida in 2008, the M Tech. degree in VLSI design from the YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (University of Delhi), New Delhi, in 2017. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Lecturer at the Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Senior Lecturer at Echelon Institute of Technology, Faridabad. In 2013, he joined as a Teaching cum Research Fellow with Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (University of Delhi). From 2016 to 2017, he was a Lecturer at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra. He joined the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2017 and served as an assistant professor from July 2017 to April 2025. Since May 2025, he has been an Associate Professor with the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala.

He has authored/co-authored 60+ research papers in SCI journals and 16 research papers in Scopus journals/international conferences. His research interests include Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI Design, Analog Signal Processing, Low-Power CMOS Circuits, Nonlinear Circuits and Systems, Chaotic Cryptography, Memristor-Based Circuits and Systems, and Neuromorphic and Brain-Inspired Computing.

He has been serving as an Associate Editor for Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing (Springer) and Integration, the VLSI Journal (Elsevier) since January 2026. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports. He is a senior member of IEEE.
