About
I am a molecular biologist with a research focus on the epigenetic and transcriptional mechanisms that regulate gene expression under normal and stress conditions. My training includes a Ph.D. in molecular genetics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and postdoctoral work at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) in Dr. Shiv Grewal’s laboratory. I specialize in chromatin biology, functional genomics, and RNA-based regulation, with particular interest in how transcription factors, chromatin modifiers, and regulatory RNAs coordinate to shape gene expression programs. My expertise spans genome-wide profiling techniques (ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, small RNA-seq), CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, protein interaction assays (co-IP, IP/MS), and high-resolution imaging. My long-term research goal is to understand how epigenetic mechanisms and transcriptional networks contribute to development and disease.
