Dr. Sourav Saha

About

Dr. Sourav Saha is currently working at Narula Institute of Technology as a Professor (JIS Group) in the department of Computer Science & Engineering. Before joining Narula Institute of Technology in 2021, he was an Associate Professor at Institute of Engineering and Management where he joined in 2011 and also served as Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Institute of Engineering and Management. He started his career working in R & D sector and in diverse application development areas at various software companies for around ten years before joining academia. He was awarded Ph. D degree from University of Kalyani in Computer Science & Engineering in 2019. He obtained his Master of Engineering (M.E.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bengal Engineering and Science University (Shibpur, Howrah) in 2002 and did his graduation (B.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering from Kalyani Govt. Engg. College (Kalyani University) in 2000. He was awarded the university medal for securing highest mark in M.E. and also received an award from Indian National Academy of Engineers for best
innovative bachelor level project in 2000. He has many international and national publications in reputed journals and conferences. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition.
