About

Dr. Ishteyaaq Ahmad is an academician at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, India, with over two decades of experience in teaching and research. Specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Online Education, his work focuses on leveraging technology to create inclusive and innovative learning environments.

Dr. Ahmad holds a Ph.D. in Computer Applications, with his research centered on predicting and mitigating high attrition rates in MOOCs using Machine Learning. He has authored extensively in SCI and SCOPUS-indexed journals and conferences and has developed a top-rated MOOC on the SWAYAM platform, recognized by ClassCentral as one of the Top 100 free courses of all time. Additionally, he has created Open Educational Resources for the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), and has mentored MOOC development for Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) program of University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia.

As a sought-after Resource Person, Dr. Ahmad has contributed to institutions like NCERT, SCERT Uttarakhand, and Allahabad University. He is a recipient of the Young Scientist Award and a Professional Research Grant from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. He is also a Fellow of the India School on Internet Governance (inSIG2017).
