About
Currently serves as Assistant Professor at the Amrita Mind Brain Center, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri. My research Interests spans across various domains, including Movement Control, Yoga Intervention Studies, and the Analysis of Cognitive Functions such as, Attention, Working Memory and Stress, using functional connectivity measures. Primarily the research focuses delving into the intricate network interactions within the human brain during various activities such as movement control, yoga interventions, and cognitive processes.
In the context of movement control, explores how different areas of the brain synchronize and communicate to execute and regulate hand-grasped movements. The use of electroencephalography (EEG) allows for the recording of electrical activity in the brain, offering a real-time window into the dynamic functional connectivity patterns associated with motor tasks. By decoding these neural signatures, his research contributes to a deeper understanding of the neural mechanisms orchestrating precise movements.
Yoga & meditation intervention studies represent another significant area of focus. How engaging in yoga practices influences functional connectivity within the brain. This research could potentially uncover how specific neural networks are modulated by yoga & meditation, shedding light on the mechanisms through which yoga enhances cognitive function, while also contributing to an understanding of the complex movements involved and their effects on brain dynamics.
