VANYA SRIVASTAV
Solid State Physics Laboratory, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, IIT Delhi
About
Dr. Vanya Srivastav is a senior Scientist at Solid Sate Physics Laboratory (SSPL), DRDO Delhi, where she leads the Futuristic Technology Division. Her division focuses on the research and development of advanced infrared (IR) sensor technologies, with particular emphasis on II–VI semiconductor materials and device engineering. Dr. Srivastav obtained her MTech in Solid State Materials from the IIT Delhi, and joined DRDO as a Scientist ‘B’ in 2002. Later she was awarded Ph.D. degree from Department of Physics, IISc Bangalore in 2013.
Over the course of her 23-year research career, she has made significant contributions to the development and indigenous production of high-performance IR detector systems for strategic applications. She has actively spearheaded the transfer of technology (ToT) for MCT based IR sensor fabrication enabling successful production of the sensors.
Her professional experiences encompass a wide range of semiconductor device technologies including Microlithography; Dry processing of Semiconductor wafers; Vacuum Systems; Design of low temperature testing & measurement systems; Optoelectronic characterization of devices and Design, modeling and simulation of semiconductor devices etc. Dr. Vanya has authored and co-authored over 40 publications in international journals and conferences, and serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals. Her sustained contributions have positioned her as a key figure in efforts toward self-reliance in infrared sensor technologies and next-generation semiconductor research.
