About

Dr. Nabil Litayem is a quality assurance expert who audits and evaluates academic programs across the globe, supporting institutions throughout every phase of the academic program lifecycle - from initial design and accreditation readiness, through delivery and periodic review, to continuous improvement and re-accreditation. He currently serves as Director of the Quality Assurance Office at Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies, Qatar, and has led quality-enhancement and program-evaluation initiatives at institutions in Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar (including Qatar University, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, and the Higher Institute of Technological Studies). Earlier in his career he was a senior development engineer at Sagem Software & Technologies.

He received his Eng. and M.Sc. degrees from the National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS), Tunisia (2005, 2006), an MScEng in Embedded Systems Engineering from INSAT, Tunisia (2009), and a Ph.D. in Industrial Computing from the University of Carthage, Tunisia (2014). His research interests include IoT security (honeypots, explainable GNN-based intrusion detection, adversarial robustness), low-cost embedded platforms (ESP8266/ESP32) for smart-home and assistive applications, and AI for healthcare, including medical visual question answering (Med-VQA).
