Prof. Ramakrushna Pradhan is the Dean of the School of Social Science and Head of the Department of Political Science at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Prof. Pradhan has also served as the Chair Professor of Mahima Guru Chair and Director of the Office of International Affairs at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya. He has been the Member of the University Court, Standing Committee and Academic Council Prof. Pradhan has also served as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Regional Studies, Faculty of International Relations, L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan. Previously served as an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations, in the Department of Social Science, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore, Odisha, India Prof. Pradhan holds a Ph.D from the Centre for Russian and Central Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has also worked in the position of Managing Editor in Eurasian Report- an area study research journal of Eurasian Foundation, New Delhi and Joint Editor of Third Voice Journal. He has authored several books such as Geopolitics of Central Asia: China-US Engagement (2010), Geopolitics and Energy Diplomacy (2016) and Geopolitics of Energy and Pipeline Diplomacy in Central Asia: Policy Options for India (2018), and Geopolitics of Energy in Central Asia: India’s Policy and Position (2020), Security Integration in the Post-Soviet Space and Collective Security Treaty Organization: Roadmap for future cooperation (2024) and State Politics in Odisha (2016). He has co-edited several books including Contemporary Odisha: Realities and Vision (2011), Clean Energy Options and Nuclear Safety: An Indian Perspective (2013), Women’s Rights as Human Rights in India: Problems and Paradoxes (2013) and Swami Vivekananda: The Man and His Message (2013), Emerging Odisha: Problems and Prospects (2014), India and the Emerging World Order (2016), and India’s Globalisation (2016). Besides, he has written a number of research papers and articles in international and national journals of eminence listed in SCOPUS, Web of Science and UGC CARE. He has expertise in the areas of Geopolitics, Energy Security, Strategic Studies, Central Asia, India and International Relations.
