Dr.D.K.Kulkarni has graduated in Civil Engineering from Karnataka University Dharwad in 1989, Post-graduation in 1991 and Doctoral Degree in 2007 from Walchand College of Engineering Sangli (MS). Worked as Professor in RIT Rajaramnagar Sangli District between 1991-2011.
Presently working as Professor in Department of Civil Engineering at S D M College of Engg & Tech. Dharwad. More than 30 years of experience in teaching and research and has Guided 50 Post Graduate Students, 5 Research scholars have completed Ph.D and Guiding 7 Ph.D Candidates. Current research areas are on concrete including M-Sand, shrinkage of concrete, ternary and tertiary blended concrete, fibre reinforced concrete, etc. Published nearly 80 papers at national and international journals, conferences and seminars etc. Visited Singapore, UK/London & European countries for attending and presenting papers. Invited as a Resource person on topic “Advances in Concrete/Construction”, “M-Sand Suitability, Utility & Durability” and “Ethics for Staff & Students” for several Engineering Colleges, Institutes, National/International seminars, conferences workshops and Webinars and organizations.
Worked/working as a Doctoral Committee member for more than 25 research scholars. Worked/working as BOS & BOE member for several institutes and universities. Invited as a Paper setter for UPSC, MPSC and various Institutes and Universities. Worked/working as a Reviewer for the paper publications in National/International seminars, conferences workshops and Webinars etc
Worked for improvement/propagation of quality admissions to UG/PG/Ph.d. Visited several times for Academic & Administrative activities of the institute to AICTE Delhi, VTU Belgavi, DTE/BTE Banglore, Higher Education Department Banglore, KEA Banglore and VGST Banglore
