Pradeep Kumar Choudhury is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Pradeep is an Associate (2024-25) at South Asia Institute, Harvard University, Cambridge, USA where he worked as a Visiting Research Fellow for 2023-24. He also advises the Delhi Knowledge Cluster and was a Visiting Scholars Fellow at Ashoka University. His research centers on education economics, including K-12 and post-secondary. His recent work focuses on the measurement and explanation of learning inequality, its interaction with climate, technology and early-life decisions. Pradeep has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and co-edited a volume on educational studies in India. He received his Ph.D. in education economics from National University of Educational Planning and Administration in 2013.
