About
I am Dr. Ketan P. Gattu, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Nanotechnology, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, India. With over a decade of academic and research experience, my work focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced nanomaterials for energy storage, catalysis, and environmental remediation. I specialize in bio-green synthesis, microreactor technology, and the development of innovative nanostructures for technological applications.
During my Ph.D., I successfully synthesized tin oxide nanoparticles using eco-friendly methods for gas sensing applications. My current research includes designing ultrasensitive room-temperature gas sensors, developing carbon composites for energy storage, and engineering nanomaterials through microreactor systems. I am proficient in various experimental techniques such as TEM, SEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and electrochemical analysis, which enable me to investigate the multifunctional properties of nanomaterials.
As an educator, I teach advanced nanotechnology courses and mentor postgraduate students on diverse projects, including metal oxide nanostructures for supercapacitors and photocatalytic applications. My research contributions include over 30 peer-reviewed publications and patents for novel synthesis techniques. I have been honored with several awards, such as the Best Young Researcher Award, and I serve as a reviewer and editor for leading scientific journals.
My research interests lie in exploring interdisciplinary applications of nanotechnology to address global challenges in energy, environment, and biomedicine through sustainable and innovative material solutions.
