About
Sandip, a computational biologist, is fervently dedicated to unraveling the intricacies of biological systems. Armed with an B.Sc. in Physics from Calcutta University and M.Sc. in Biophysics from Kalyani University, India, and a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, he refined his expertise during postdoctoral research at the University of Washington, USA. As a Ramanujan Fellow at CSIR-IICB, Kolkata, and later as an Associate Professor at JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research, JIS University, he spearheads research in human microbiome dynamics, multi-omics data mining, and comparative genomics. Over two decades, his pioneering contributions not only shed light on microbial intricacies and advance understanding of adaptive genome evolution but also deliver computational platforms for comparative genomics and metagenomics, unraveling insights into human health and associated diseases.
