About
I am well-versed in the numerical model development of comprehensive snow-land-atmosphere in global models. My current endeavors are aimed at advancing the IPSL-ORCHIDEE land surface model through the incorporation of various impure snow constituents, such as black carbon, organic carbon, and four lognormal dust types, alongside implementing a physics-based approach to snow albedo. My past contributions include the creation of a multilayer intermediate snow scheme within the CFSv2 framework, which significantly mitigates the positive snow bias in the Northern Hemisphere, thereby refining monsoon circulations and precipitation patterns. My approach is characterised by a holistic consideration of the coupled interactions among different Earth system components—including the Atmosphere, Land, Cryosphere, Ocean, and Biosphere—which positions me as a global Earth system model developer.
