About
I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Emory University, Atlanta, USA, in the research group of Dr. Lili Wang. My research focuses on exploring the ultrafast dynamics and spin properties of quantum materials, utilizing advanced techniques such as ultrafast spectroscopy and transient absorption microscopy. With a keen interest in understanding the interplay between charge carriers, excitons, and spin states, my work aims to uncover fundamental phenomena that drive the functionality of next-generation materials for optoelectronic and spintronic applications.
Previously, I completed my Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, where I investigated carrier and exciton dynamics in two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) using femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy. My research contributed to the understanding of defect and strain-induced modifications in 2D materials, interlayer exciton formation in van der Waals heterostructures, and the impact of many-body interactions on quasi-particles in monolayer TMDs.
I have authored and co-authored several research articles in peer-reviewed journals, with topics ranging from the optical properties of 2D materials to interfacial charge transfer mechanisms in hybrid heterostructures. My work has provided insights into how atomic-scale defects, substrate interactions, and dielectric environments affect exciton dynamics, with implications for designing efficient optoelectronic devices.
Beyond research, I am passionate about mentoring and collaborating across disciplines to address complex scientific challenges. My long-term goal is to bridge the gap between fundamental research and practical applications, advancing the field of quantum materials for transformative technologies.
