About
I'm working as an Assistant Professor and Researcher at VIT Bhopal University, Madhya Pradesh. I've 9 years of research experience, including 3 years of postdoctoral research experience at Bharathidasan University. My research focuses on Intangible theories and Gender in Indian-ness. My work is primarily grounded in original Indian thinking and Indian knowledge systems. A major focus of my research is intangible theories, such as gender aspects like pain and emotional inequality, including fear, anxiety, depression, humiliation, embarrassment, grief, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment, and loss of dignity. I’m in multidisciplinary research across the Humanities and the Social Sciences. So, it aims to address the social and cultural aspects of mental peace, dignity, and human relationships. It is based mainly on people’s lived experiences and oral narratives collected from the ground realities of local communities. My earlier research focused on gender minorities and Indian-ness, which has gradually expanded to gender and Indian-ness. In terms of methods, my research is primarily qualitative, with limited use of quantitative methods. I also use mixed methods when required by the research questions and the nature of the study. It falls under library and field research; however, I'm working towards laboratory research in future.
