About
I hold a Ph.D. in English from Aligarh Muslim University, awarded in 2024, with a focus on contemporary English novels with special reference to the novels of Kazuo Ishiguro. My academic background also includes a strong foundation in Urdu literature. I am deeply engaged in research areas such as media analysis, world literature, realist novel, speculative fiction, stylistics.
Throughout my career, I have presented papers on a range of topics. For instance, I explored Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels in relation to media and international crises and discussed the influence of colonialism on language and culture. Additionally, I have published articles examining realism and speculative elements in Haruki Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore and conducted gender and class analyses in novels like Adam Bede and Anna Karenina.
I am certified in several areas relevant to both teaching and professional skills, including the Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JK-SET), UGC-NET, TESOL/TEFL, and academic writing. I also completed courses in time management and critical thinking, which have strengthened my organizational and analytical skills.
As an active member of the British Comparative Literature Association and the Poetics and Linguistics Association (PALA), I continue to contribute to and stay engaged with scholarly communities, sharing insights and staying current with developments in literary studies.
