About
I am an enthusiastic and passionate researcher with a strong and independent work style in the field of Materials Science and Nanotechnology. I can work in a challenging environment where I can experience personal growth and can widen the spectrum of my knowledge. Currently, I am a Research Associate at IACS, Kolkata, doing research on Dielectric and Magnetodielectric Properties of nanocomposites comprising of Mesoporous Oxide-Metal Nanowires and Mesoporous Oxide Nanoglass suitable for supercapacitor or magnetic sensor application. Ph.D. in Physics from the School of Materials Sciences, IACS, Kolkata on Synthesis of various mesoporous nanocomposites and nanowire containing transparent thin-film. These nanocomposites and thin films are synthesized using sol-gel, hydrothermal, or spin-coating protocols and are characterized using TEM, SEM, XRD, AFM, MFM, XPS, UV-Vis along with electrical and SQUID magnetic measurements. Additionally, theoretical simulations using DFT are carried out in such systems. During my Ph.D. tenure, I have learned LabVIEW software skills to perform system integration. The structural, thermal, electrical, and electrochemical or magnetic properties of the nanocomposites are analyzed for applications as energy storage devices or magnetic sensors.

Experience to operate and analyze TGA, DTA/DSC, FT-IR, Raman Spectroscopy, UV- Vis, XRD, TEM, SEM, AFM, STM, XPS, Quantachrome Autosorb-1C
Expertise in spin-coating, hydraulic press pelletizer, centrifuge.
Operation of the electrical furnace, three-zone furnace, microwave furnace
Various electrical and magnetic measurements such as Magnetic Property Measurement System (SQUID), Physical Property Measurement System
Specialist in Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and CV measurements
Strong oral and written communication skills, effective email writing and management, able to learn new knowledge and adapt to new environments quickly
