About

 Dr. T. Thirunahari Ugandhar obtained his Ph.D. from Kakatiya University at the age of 30. His doctoral research, guided by Professor N. Ramaswamy, Head of the Department of Biotechnology at Kakatiya University in Warangal, marked the beginning of his dedicated teaching career as a Lecturer in Botany at C.V. Raman P.G. College in Mancherial.
 In 2011, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Botany by APPSC at SRR Govt Arts and Science College, Karimnagar. Dr. Ugandhar has an impressive academic record, having authored 87 research papers, contributed to the writing of 8 books, and supervised 8 students to the completion of their M.Phil. degrees.
 Actively participating in academic forums, he has attended 34 national seminars and 12 international seminars, currently engaged in 4 symposia and workshops. Dr. T. Ugandhar has received numerous awards, both nationally and internationally, including the Research Excellence Award 2023 for outstanding research contribution at the International Conference on Multidisciplinary Innovative Research and Development 2023 (ICMIRD-2023).
 He was honored with the PURASKAR FOR SRUJANA 2023 by Sidvi Foundation, the District Best Teacher Award 2023 for outstanding contributions to GDC Mahabubabad on Telangana Education Day, and the Society of Plant Research Fellow award at the international conference cum Workshop on Plant Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at Pandicherry University.
 In 2022, he received the Telangana State Best Teacher Award on Dr. Sarvapally Radha Krishna's Birthday, recognized by Home Minister Sri. Mahamad Ali, Education Minister Honorable Sabitha Indra Reddy, and Navin Mittal IAS Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Telangana Government of India.
 Other notable awards include the Out Standing Scientist Award in the International Scientist Awards on Engineering, Science, and Medicine Ceremony in 2021, and the Out Standing Research Faculty Award in the International Level Faculty Awards 2019 Ceremony at Mittapally College of Engineering, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
 His expertise lies in Cytology and Cytogenetics, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Molecular Genetics, Mutation Breeding, Plant Tissue Culture, and Biotechnology. Dr. T. Ugandhar's groundbreaking work includes using mutation breeding to enhance brinjals, chilies, and tomatoes, leading to the creation of many useful varieties for farming.
 Pioneering the use of clonal propagation for various species of forest trees, he has also applied for a patent for growing the Tassar silk plant in a lab. Recently, on December 26, 2023, Dr. T. Ugandhar was promoted to the position of Associate Professor of Botany by Collegiate Education, Hyderabad, Telangana State. He continues his impactful work at Govt Degree College, Mahabubabad, Telangana State.
