About

My doctoral work is mainly based on the synthetic organic chemistry (metal-free and transition metal catalyzed reactions) and photo-redox chemistry for which I have successfully developed new synthetic protocols by employing transition metal-catalyzed and metal-free C-H functionalization reactions.

In my postdoctoral research, I work on synthesizing cell-permeable molecular probes that bind PKC domains, that incorporate new coumarin fluorophores and are readily detected by flow cytometry to show rapid kinetics of cellular uptake and efflux that promote equilibration. Additionally, I am developing a novel group of red-shifted fluorophores that can be excited between 500 and 600 nm.

Secured research funding through Pelotonia grant proposal which aims to create improved targeted triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) therapies using SPD technology.
