About
Nafih Cherappurath joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education, Amal College of Advanced Studies, Nilambur, Kerala, India, in 2022. He began his study of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Calicut, where he received a Bachelor’s in Physical Education and Sports. He earned a Master’s and PhD in Physical Education and Sports Science from Pondicherry Central University in 2014 and 2019, respectively. His areas of specialisation are training methods, sports psychology, sports management, and tennis. Nafih Cherappurath has participated in several states, university, and national level tournaments for various sports and games. He is a recipient of the Young Researcher Award (Institute of Scholars, Bangalore) and Best Researcher Award (Indian Academic Researchers Association) in the Year 2020. He is an internationally qualified tennis coach. He is a regular participant in various fields of Physical Education and Sports. Nafih Cherappurath has to his credit several research papers and articles in high reputed journals, indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science, EBSCO, etc. on issues concerning health, fitness, yoga, sports, and games.
