About
Professor Shyamal Chatterjee was born on 03.07.1967 in Kolkata, India. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University (KOLKATA, INDIA) in the year 1989. After that he completed his M.Tech. and PhD in the year 1992 and 1995, respectively from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Prof. Chatterjee has 20 years of teaching experience and currently he is working as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India. His research interest is in the area of nonlinear dynamics, vibration and vibration control of macro/micro-mechanical systems. He has published a large number of research articles in various journals of international repute.
