About
Dr. Priyanka Jha is a distinguished physicist and academician with extensive expertise in material science and quantum engineering. She completed her B.Sc. (General) from Maharishi Dayanand University in 2005, followed by an M.Sc. in Physics from the same university in 2007, securing 7th rank in the university. Dr. Jha earned her Ph.D. in Physics from Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), University of Delhi, in 2014.
After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Jha began her academic career as an Assistant Professor at HMR Institute of Technology and Management, GGSIPU, in August 2014. She subsequently joined IIT (BHU) in 2015 as a Research Associate. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious CSIR-SRA (Pool Scientist Officer) position, which she continued at IIT (BHU), culminating in nine years of post-doctoral research experience.
Dr. Jha has an impressive research portfolio, with 52 published papers, including 18 as a corresponding author and 13 during her Ph.D., of which 9 were first-author publications. Additionally, she has contributed two book chapters and 10 conference proceedings. Her expertise in leading projects is reflected in her successful completion of a CSIR-funded project worth ₹33,51,360 in 2023.
Since 2024, Dr. Jha has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Jaypee University Anoopshahr, continuing her dedication to research, teaching, and academic mentorship.
