About
Dr. MALAY DOLAI, doing Ph.D. on magneto-chemistry and crystallography on single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. He has interested on Design and synthesis mononuclear and multinuclear compounds of transition metals as well as lanthanides.
Development of metal based single-chain magnet (SCM)and single molecule magmet(SMM).
Solvent dependent chemical transformation reactions of oximes and nitriles in presence of metal ions/complexes as catalyst.
Study on novel supramolecular interactions through details analysis of single crystals X-ray diffraction data using APEX-II and WinGX programs.
Theoretical calculation of small molecules (Organic and Inorganic) using Gaussian 05 and related programs
Use of various physicochemical tools like IR, UV-VIS, NMR, EPR, magnetic moment, mass spectrometry, fluorescence measurement.
Specialized in growing single crystal for X-ray crystallographic studies and their structure analysis by the same. Also specialized in DFT computational analysis.
Knowledge of MERCURY-3.0, PLATON, ORTEP-3v2 and DIAMOND-3.2 for drawing and writing of the structure portion.
TOPOS-40 for drawing topology of multidimensional structures.
To be a professional and progressive chemist through continuous learning and implementing new ideas through my dedication, hard work and knowledge in chemistry and accepting new challenges for the synthesis of molecules with
diverse functionalities and applications.
