I, Dr. Pawan Kumar Kanaujia holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from University of Delhi. Post doctorate, I have worked as Research Associate under ICMR-funded project in the Department of Microbiology at UDSC, and as Assistant Professor in the colleges of the University of Delhi. My research work provides insights into the mechanisms of iron-homeostasis and their potential role in virulence in the biovar 1A strains of Yersinia enterocolitica. The research also indicates the existence of different pathways under conditions of iron availability or absence thus suggesting well-regulated iron homeostasis in Y. enterocolitica. I have deep knowledge and practical expertise in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Proteomics and Bioinformatics. My research work has been published in peer reviewed international journals, and has current Scopus garnered more than 1275 citations, h-index 7 & i10-index 5 so far . The research findings have also been presented at reputed national and international conferences. I am an editorial member of Advanced Chemicobiology Research (ACBR) Singapore and also serving as a reviewer in several international journals like Frontiers in Microbiology, Infectious Agents and Disease (Frontiers Media SA, Switzerland), Biology Methods & Protocols (Oxford Academic), International Journal of Infectious Diseases (IJID) Elsevier. I have been a member of international scientific community like American Society for Microbiology and European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases along with being a life member of the Association of Microbiologists of India.
