About

Dr. Chandra began her carrier in Dentistry (B.D.S) in year 1999 with Sardar Patel Institute of Dental and Medical Sciences, Lucknow and received her Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S) in 2008 from KLE’S Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
She specializes in Oral Medicine and Radiology and Forensic Odontology and is presently working as Professor and Head Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at Saraswati Dental College, Lucknow. She is a certified Tobacco Intervention Fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy (FPFA), Academy of General Education (FAGE) and Indian Board of Forensic Odontology (FIBFO)
She is also a solopreneur, a visionary who realized that life has much more to offer than she had anticipated, and then decided to assist and motivate other. She is passionately running ‘SAIRA FreeWill’, following a holistic approach to empower and heal people from any form of addiction especially tobacco (Smoke/Smokeless) with optimum mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.
She has been instrumental in establishing the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology (Under Graduate & Post Graduate) at Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College and Research Centre, Moradabad, since its inception.
She is nominated as Member, NAAC Steering Committee and Member, SDC, Lucknow. She has attended and volunteered multiple lectures, workshops and conferences and had chaired several scientific sessions in India. She is a part of editorial/reviewer board member for many journals and had got many publications to her credit in National & International Journals including, Case Reports in Medicine, Archives of Iranian Medicine, Biomed Central BMC Cases Journal, European Journal of General Dentistry, Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Contemporary Clinical Dentistry etc.
She is a life member of various organizations Including Indian Dental Association, Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Indian Association of Forensic Odontology, Indian Society for Dental Research (Subsidiary of the International Association for Dental Research- IADR), Indo-Asia Association of Forensic Odontology etc.
She is an external examiner and paper setter for various renowned Indian universities. Her considerable interest lies in Potential Malignant Oral Lesions, Role of Candidiasis in Oral carcinogenesis, Forensic Odontology and Radiological Diagnostic Approach.
She believes “your eyes cannot see, what your mind doesn’t know”
