About
I, Dr. Sankha Chakrabortty, am a researcher in the field of environmental engineering, membrane technology, and green technology. I am currently working as an Associate Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering/Biotechnology at KIIT Deemed to be University. I have conducted the majority of my research study in conjunction with a number of prominent academics and scientists from India, as well as professors from South Korea, UK and the United States. Till date, I have published my study in more than 81 SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals (h-index-25, google scholar) with high impact factors, and I have filed for a total of 14 patents based on the scientific advancements which I developed; of these, 7 Indian Patents and 1 US Patent have been already granted. In addition, 31 chapters have been published by different renowned publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, T&F, Wiley, and others. Recently, I have published 4 bookas an Editor in Elsevier and Taylor & Francis in the 2023-24 session. I have been honored with 20 awards or accolades by a variety of organizations. In 2015, I was honored with the "Best Paper Award 2015" from the SPRINGER publication (Clean Technology and Environment Policy Journal, DOI https://doi.org/10.1007/s10098-015-1080-0). Additionally, the National Environmental Science Academy (India) recognized me as the "NESA Young Scientist of the Year 2020" and the "Best Environmentalist of the year 2021" in two consecutive years. In addition to that, I was the recipient of another prize, which was given to me in the "STE-Young Scientist Award (Faculty Category)" category. I have been awarded with the Hiyoshi Young Leaf Award 2022, which was given to me by the Hiyoshi Corporation in Japan. Recently, I am also awarded with "Scientist of the Year Award" National Environmental Science Academy (India) at IIT BHU.
