About
I am currently an adjunct professor, postdoctoral researcher at NANOMO, University of Oulu, Finland with main research interest in different variants of steel, energy production and storage materials with the goal to explain their multifunctionality via advanced synchrotron methods. I received Ph.D. in Physical Sciences from Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced technology, India on synchrotron radiation-based structural and spectroscopic studies. After Ph.D., I joined Stony Brook University/Brookhaven National laboratory, USA as a postdoctoral researcher for the successful development of modulation excitation X-ray absorption Spectroscopy at ISS beamline of NSLS-II synchrotron source. I focus on the activating Synchrotron X-ray based structural, spectroscopic and spectro-microscopic methods to know material function of structural and energy materials.
Having obtained my PhD degree for < 6 years, I have contributed in 47 peer-reviewed journal articles spreading in multifunctional materials, structural materials, and energy materials. They include 28 with me as the first and/or corresponding author, and 22 without my PhD supervisor.
My contribution to both domains is demonstrated in crucial support to establishments of these key fields and expected to constantly bolster their strengths. Several of our research has gotten news attention for many public outreaches. I have also been interviewed a few times for public outreach of our research result.
