About
Ms. Gurmeet Kaur was born in Sagra, Patiala, Punjab (India) in 1995. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh, in 2015, and her Master's degree in Chemistry from Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, in 2018. She worked as a project fellow in the DST-funded research project (DST/INSPIRE/04/2016/001948) at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (DCBC), TIET, Patiala, from July 9, 2018 to July 8, 2019. She enrolled for Ph.D. program in 2019 at DCBC, TIET, Patiala, under the supervision of Dr. Bhupesh Goyal. She was awarded a CSIR SRF–Direct fellowship (09/0677(18151)/2024–EMR–Ⅰ) and received recognition for her research presentations during her doctoral work. She has published her research findings in peer-reviewed international journals and presented her work at national and international conferences. Her research interests include molecular dynamics simulations and identifications of small molecules against BACE1 and SARS–CoV–2 Mpro activity.
