About
Shweta Thakur has received his MSc degree in Physics from the International University (Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India) and PhD degree in Solid State Physics from the School of Basic Science, Shoolini University in 2016. His PhD thesis supervisor was Prof. Radheshyam Rai and Prof Ashutosh Tiwari, a pioneer of ferroelectricity and multiferroicity in India and worldwide.
Until 2013 she was Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Physics and Laboratory of Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO, India) situated at Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh (India) respectively where she studied the “Fabrication and characterization of substrate for patch antenna by using Nano magneto-dielectric materials for the missile applications”.
Later, she was also selected as Research Scholar at Advanced Materials Research Lab, Department of Physics, Shoolini University under the project on “Development of Lead-free piezoelectric nanofibers via Electrospinning for piezoelectric energy harvesting”. During this successfully, completed her investigation on the magnetic properties of different ferrites.
Her PhD was focused on the Synthesis and Characterization of Modified Ferroelectric/Ferro-electromagnetic Perovskite Materials for device applications. She successfully established an advanced lab dedicated for the growth of perovskite materials via using solid state, green synthesis, hydrothermal method and sol gel techniques.
She is expertise in X-ray diffraction analysis, studying the magnetic properties, different electrical properties such as dielectrics, piezoelectricity and impedance analysis. Her areas of research focus on the ferroelectric ceramics, lead-free materials, multiferroic materials, ferrites and silver nanoparticles.
She worked for more than 5 years on the research projects closely related with the proposed project in this application. The research done during her PhD highly contributed to the advance of the knowledge around the word and, consequently, were published in high impact factor scientific journals.
Moreover, some of them are quite useful for the direct industrial application. She published some papers in international peer review journals with a relatively impact factor. Her most relevant works related with the research project of the present application were published in major multidisciplinary scientific journals including Advanced dielectric, Advanced material letters, Solid State communications, Materials Letters, Phase Transitions and Material Research. All these works were presented in international scientific meetings in the form of both oral and poster presentations, including an invited oral presentation.
Furthermore, Shweta Thakur was selected as Post-Doctoral researcher at i3N, Department of Physics, University of Aveiro, working on “Synthesis of BaCaTiO3/CoFe2O4 hybrid nanoparticles by polymerization method: to study the structural, dielectrical and magnetic properties” under the guidance of Dr. Manuel Pedro Fernandes Graça and Professor Manuel Almeida Valente.
She is highly focused to accomplishing a sophisticated level in different technologies that are helpful for solving global problems through dedicated endeavors focusing on competitive and friendly technologies.
