About
Agnivesh Sharma is an industrial designer, engineer, design researcher, educator, and entrepreneur. He holds a PhD from the IDC School of Design, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay). His research focuses on participatory design, design for sustainability, permaculture, agroecology, systems thinking, and the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices among small and marginal farmers. His doctoral research involved co-designing a participatory permaculture toolkit that integrates farmers’ experiential knowledge with visual, tangible, and collaborative farm-planning methods. His broader interests include social innovation, circular economy, rural development, product design, design education, and the application of design research to complex socio-ecological challenges.
