About
Dr. Kamal Kishor Upadhyay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur, India. He received his Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Allahabad in 2013 and completed his Ph.D. in Optical Communication from the same university in 2019. He further pursued postdoctoral research at IIIT Allahabad (2020–2022), focusing on biomedical engineering applications.
His research interests include optical communication, all-optical signal processing, photonic computing, reversible logic design, and IoT-based intelligent systems. His doctoral research emphasized the optimization and analysis of optical fiber systems to enhance performance, reduce signal degradation, and improve energy efficiency. He has contributed significantly to the development of all-optical logic gates, optical arithmetic logic units (ALUs), and high-speed communication systems.
Dr. Upadhyay has published several research papers in reputed Scopus-indexed journals, including work on high-speed optical transmission systems and photonic logic circuit design. He has also been granted multiple patents and has actively participated in international and national conferences. He is a recipient of prestigious fellowships such as GATE and UGC-JRF. His work continues to focus on advancing sustainable, high-speed optical and photonic technologies for next-generation computing and communication systems.
