Dr. R. Vadivelan is currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the JSS College of Pharmacy (JSSCPO), Ooty. With a career spanning over 24 years, his contributions to preclinical pharmacology, metabolic disorder research, and the advocacy for alternatives to animal testing have solidified his reputation as an academic and research.

Dr. Vadivelan’s academic journey began at The Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, where he earned his B.Pharm (2000) and M.Pharm in Pharmacology (2002). He advanced his expertise by obtaining a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from JSS University, Mysore, in 2013.
