About

I am a computing education researcher, soon due to complete my PhD in the Interdisciplinary Programme in Educational Technology, at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. I draw inspiration from learning sciences, software engineering and computing education literature for my research. I have expertise in designing technology-enhanced learning environments for topics in computer science, such as software design and computer networks, and in other domains like geometry and biology. I have conducted several studies which explore the effectiveness of these learning environments, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. I have published my research in reputable conference venues such as the “International Conference in Software Engineering (ICSE)” and “International Computing Education Research (ICER)”. I have also received travel awards, and have actively collaborated with researchers across many institutions.

I am passionate about building a vibrant community of computing education researchers in India and globally. Towards this goal, I started a blog highlighting my department’s research and outreach efforts, led study groups focusing on computing education topics, and conducted several workshops to familiarize instructors on computing education research and use of technology in education
