Also known as: Pavan Jutur
International Centre For Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology New Delhi, Pondicherry University
About
Dr. JUTUR is the Group Leader of Omics of Algae Group at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, India. His primary focus of research is understanding the dynamics of microalgal systems through an integrative multi-omics approach in coherence with reconstructed genome-scale metabolic models (GEMs) with well-defined functional pathways that will elucidate an effective strategy for converting light/carbon source to biomass, biofuels, and biorenewables (B3 ) for sustainable futuristic solutions. Such findings will provide important breakthroughs in metabolic regulation within these microalgae, which are required for the biotechnological improvement of next-generation biomanufacturing products. Dr. Jutur has prolific research achievements, publishing more than 70 papers in renowned peer-reviewed journals, reviews, and book chapters. Under his mentorship, eight (8) pre-doctoral fellows have been successfully awarded doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees to date. They train postdoctoral fellows at international/national levels and graduate and postgraduate students as summer interns/project fellows. Also a member of the elite professional societies and serves the editorial board in internationally reputed peer- reviewed journals.
