About
I am a passionate, Ph.D.-qualified researcher with a strong focus on the integration of psychology and religion (Islam). My doctoral work culminated in a grounded theory analysis of human nature as conceptualized in the Quran, leading to the development of an Islamically grounded counselling model. In addition to publishing in reputable journals and presenting at national and international platforms, I have been actively involved in primary prevention research, especially focusing on mental health challenges among youth in conflict zones. Currently, I am working on a nationally funded project that develops and culturally adapts Dialectical Behavioural Therapy interventions for suicide and substance-use prevention in Kashmir. I am seeking postdoctoral opportunities that advance integrative, preventive mental health practices within diverse socio-cultural contexts to promote holistic well-being.
