Dr. Shobhana Singh is an Associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur and a distinguished researcher in the field of energy systems. She earned her Ph.D. in Solar Thermal Systems from IIT Delhi and has gained over 12 years of research experience from esteemed institutions, including Arizona State University, USA, and Aalborg University, Denmark. Dr. Singh has made significant contributions to the scientific community, with over 60 high-impact publications in prestigious journals and book series. She currently heads the Energy Conversion and Storage Research (ECSR) Lab at IIT Jodhpur, focusing on cutting-edge research in energy conversion technologies, energy systems integration, hydraulic modeling, and multiphysics simulations. Dr. Shobhana is a recipient of prestigious awards of national importance such as Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research (WISER)-2024 by Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC), and, Duo-India Professorship Award-2020 by MoE (formerly MHRD) for carrying impactful research and technological innovation in sustainable energy storage solutions. Her recent work delves into the innovative use of phase change materials for thermal management in space applications, showcasing her commitment to advancing energy technologies for practical challenges.
