About
Dr. Rajeev Jain is a Senior Scientist of Forensic Toxicology at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. With a Ph.D. degree in Analytical Toxicology from the CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Dr. Jain has over 14 years of extensive research experience in analytical toxicology. He specializes in examining various biological, food, and pharmaceutical samples of over 1000 medico-legal cases.
Dr. Jain's research work is focused on developing eco-friendly analytical methods for drugs and poisons in forensic matrices. His contributions to the field are evidenced by over 50 research papers, review papers, and book chapters published in various referred journals. He also acts as an invited reviewer in several peer-reviewed quality journals.
Dr. Jain has recently edited and authored a book on Analytical Toxicology with CRC Press (Taylor & Francis). He sits on the editorial board of various open-access journals of Toxicology and Chromatography. Dr. Jain's research work has earned him more than 1000 citations and an h-index of 20.
Dr. Jain is a sought-after mentor, having trained numerous B.Sc. and M.Sc. students from different universities in the field of Forensic Toxicology. Currently, he supervises one Ph.D. student in the field of Green Analytical Chemistry. He also serves as an Expert Member in the Doctoral Advisory Committee of Kasturba Medical College (MAHE), Manipal.
