M.Sc. in Zoology (1993), Research fellow (JRF, SRF (DST, Govt. of India) Extended SRF (CSIR) between June 1995 and February 2001; PhD. in Science (2000), specialization in Entomology, did PhD. in Systematics of Chironomidae (Diptera). Served as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Zoology at Balurghat College (Govt. sponsored), Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, 733101 between March 03, 2001 and November 15, 2007. Presently serving as Professor in Dept. of Zoology, University of Burdwan
