About
Dr. Samarendra Nath Sur (M’16, SM’20) received his M.Tech. degree in Digital Electronics and Advanced Communication from Sikkim Manipal University, India, in 2012, and his Ph.D. degree in MIMO signal processing from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, India, in 2019. He is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. His research focuses on next-generation broadband wireless communication systems, including MIMO, spread spectrum techniques, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces-Assisted networks, and radar image/signal processing using soft computing and intelligent algorithms. He has made significant research contributions with over 95 SCI/Scopus-indexed journal and conference publications. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an active member of the IEEE IoT and the Institution of Engineers (India). He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for International Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems (S2IS)(SCOPUS,ESCI). He serves as a regular reviewer for leading international journals published by IEEE, Springer Nature, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, IET, and Wiley. He is also extensively involved in editorial activities, including editing multiple books with Springer Nature, Elsevier, Routledge, and CRC Press. Additionally, he had the privilege of serving as a Guest Editor for topical collections and special issues in reputable journals published by Springer Nature, MDPI, and Hindawi.
