CAREER OBJECTIVES:
To remain an advisor to the Indian Food Processing Industry towards safety and quality of the process and products following traceability and transparency of operations for the betterment of the Consumers and sustainability of the Farming Community.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Establishment of an Independent Department of Meat Science, Veterinary College, Bengaluru in 1983.
• Panel Member of Research Advisory Committee Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI), Maharashtra, for Genetic upgradation among the Sheep Farmers of Karnataka/Maharashtra (from 2005 till date)
• Chief Consultant to Karnataka Sheep & Wool Development Corporation (KSWDC), Government of Karnataka.
• Strengthened the Dept of Livestock Products Technology (LPT) by introducing PG Program
• Hands on Training, made Strong attempt to popularize value addition of common vegetarian dishes with either Eggs or Minced Meat.
• Involved in establishment of several Public/Private, Sheep/Goat Slaughter Units and Supply Chains in India
• Actively involved in the Establishment of a number of Private Poultry Processing Units and Retail outlets on Hygienic Lines.
• Expert Member of BIS, APEDA, EIA, GARP, CDDEP, NMPPB, Halal certification committee:
• Task Force Member for BBMP, towards Management of Solid Waste of animal origin.
• Organized a number of training programs for butchers and other meat workers.
• Conducted a number of workshops for Environmental Engineers, Health Inspectors and Environmental officers of the Govt. of Karnataka, in collaboration with Environment Management Policy Research Institute (EMPRI), Govt. of Karnataka.
• Establishment of a Liaison Office for International Programs in the University
