About
Ravi S. Lankalapalli is a prominent contributor to natural product chemistry. He gained expertise in synthetic organic chemistry during his Ph.D., where he focused on synthesizing unnatural lipids of physiological importance. Since 2011, he has been conducting independent research at the intersection of synthetic organic chemistry and natural product chemistry, leading to a wide range of research areas. His research covers the isolation, structure elucidation, and bioactivity of natural products from plants, food, and microbes. Furthermore, his research has expanded to include the synthetic modification of natural products, the development of novel synthetic methodologies and processes relevant to natural products and pharmaceuticals, and the total synthesis of natural product variants.
