About
I am Dr. Kondooru Shivashanker, currently serving as Head of Department and Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering at SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pandharpur. With over 11 years of academic and research experience, I hold a Ph.D. in Power Systems from VIT Vellore. My expertise spans MATLAB/Simulink, HIL platforms like Typhoon-HIL and dSPACE, and real-time simulation. My research focuses on MMC-based HVDC systems, power quality, and subsynchronous resonance mitigation. I have published extensively in Scopus and SCI-indexed journals, contributed to international conferences, and hold four published patents in renewable energy and electric drives. I am committed to academic excellence, innovation, and fostering technical leadership as an active IEEE member and reviewer for reputed journals. I regularly conduct and attend FDPs, workshops, and national initiatives, and I serve as IEEE Student Branch Counselor to mentor the next generation of engineers.
