About

I was born on 12th September 1984 in Assam, India, and completed my early education at Sajani Kanta Higher Secondary School in Barpeta Road, Assam. I earned my B.Sc. degree in 2006 from Madhab Choudhury College (Barpeta), with a major in Chemistry and additional coursework in Physics, Mathematics, and English. In 2008, I obtained an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Gauhati University, after which I joined the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati as a project assistant, working on peptide synthesis under the supervision of Prof. Bhubaneswar Mandal.

In 2015, I received my Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Kyoto University (Japan), where I conducted research on DNA molecular recognition under the guidance of Prof. Hiroshi Sugiyama. I then pursued postdoctoral research at Institut Curie in Paris, France, focusing on G-quadruplex DNA in the laboratory of Prof. M.-P. Teulade-Fichou. In March 2020, I joined CIC bioGUNE (Biscay, Spain) as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow, expanding my expertise into chemical immunology under the mentorship of Prof. Fernández-Tejada.
