Dr. Bhupendra G. Prajapati, World’s Top 2% Scientist and Alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), is a Professor (Research Cadre) at the Parul Institute of Pharmacy, Parul University, Gujarat, India. With a distinguished academic journey spanning over two decades, he has established himself as a leading expert in pharmaceutical sciences, particularly in lipid-based drug delivery and nanotechnology formulations.

He earned his Ph.D. from Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, in 2011, following his M.Pharm (2004) and B.Pharm (2000) degrees from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. His educational foundation, coupled with over 24 years of academic and industrial experience, has fueled his impactful contributions to pharmaceutical education, research, and innovation.

Dr. Prajapati’s outstanding achievements have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including AICTE’s Career Award for Young Teacher (2013), the Distinguished Associate Professor Award by TechNExt India (2017), multiple President Awards for Research and Capacity Building at Ganpat University (2019–2022), the Outstanding Reviewer Award (2022) from MDPI-Pharmaceutics, and inclusion among MDPI 2024 Top 1000 Reviewers. He is widely recognized as an innovator and an inspiring scientific speaker, contributing to knowledge dissemination at national and international forums.

A prolific researcher, he has authored more than 350 national and international research papers, edited 20 international books, and contributed over 200 book chapters. His innovative research has also resulted in two granted patents, alongside several published and pending applications in Novel Drug Delivery Systems. He has successfully secured research funding and grants from national and state agencies, while also engaging in industrial consultancy projects that strengthen academia–industry collaborations.

As a dedicated mentor, Dr. Prajapati has guided 12 Ph.D. and 52 postgraduate scholars, and is currently supervising six doctoral and two postgraduate students. His mentees have earned national and international recognition, winning multiple awards at scientific conferences. With over 50 invited talks delivered at national and international forums, he continues to actively contribute to the global pharmaceutical community.

Dr. Prajapati is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and an active member of professional bodies including IPA, ACS, APTI, and CRSIC. In recognition of his international reputation, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Silpakorn University, Thailand, in May 2024.

Through his scholarly work, visionary guidance, and innovative research, Dr. Prajapati continues to shape the future of pharmaceutical sciences while inspiring the next generation of researchers and professionals.
