About

Myself Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Nayik, I have completed my Masters Degree in Food Technology from IUST, Awantipora, J&K, India and PhD from SLIET, Punjab, India. I have edited 22 Books with Springer Nature,Elsevier, RSC and Taylor & Francis (CRC-Press), authored one textbook with National Publisher. Throughout my career, I have so far published over 230 peer-reviewed research and review papers including 70 scopus indexed book chapters. I have attended many International/ National/conferences, seminars and workshops within and outside India. During the COVID-19 period, I attended 50+ webinars. I was shortlisted twice for Prestigious INSPIRE-Faculty Award in 2017 and in 2018 from Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi. In 2019-20, I was nominated for India’s Prestigious National Award (INSA Medal for Young Scientists-2019/2020). Currently I have 5 books under development with Elsevier, Springer, Royal Society of Chemistry, Taylor & Francis etc.

I am serving as Editor in Madridge Journal of Food Technology, Nutrition & Energy Balance, Associate Editor in Frontiers in Nutrition (IF=5), American Journal of Food Technology, Journal of Food Resource Science, Pakistan Journal of Nutrition & MOJ Food Processing & Technology while I am also serving as Assistant Editor in Journal of Post Harvest Technology and Food and Nutrition Journal.
I also serve as Editorial Board Member of more than 30 International Journals.
I am Potential Peer Reviewer of reputed International Journals.
I am working as member for various associations like IFST, WASET, AFSTI, IFERP, IAJC, IAENG, ASR , Asian Council of Science Editors.
I recently Received Top Peer Reviewer Award 2019 from Web of Sciences Group powered by Publons for placing in the top 1% of reviewers in Agricultural Sciences.
I am the recipient of “BEST PAPER AWARD” in 2nd International conference on Food Properties (ICFP-2016), held at Bangkok, Thailand in June 2016.
I am also the Recipient of International Travel Grant from Department of Science and Technology (India).
Recipient of Certificates from Elsevier and Wiley Online for Reviewer Recognition and Recipient of Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF-2013-14) from University Grant Commission, New Delhi, India.
