About

Dr. Abhishek Yadav completed his basic medical under graduation in 2003 and post-graduation in Forensic Medicine in 2007, both from University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi. He further did PG Diploma in Hospital management from NIHFW, MOHFW, Govt of India. He has more than 19 years teaching and work experience in various medical colleges and presently working as Additional Professor in Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, AIIMS, New Delhi. He has received European Council accredited Certificate Training course in University of Zurich, Switzerland in Virtual Autopsy and is the Co-investigator and Chief-coordinator for Centre of Advanced Research and excellence (CARE) in Virtual Autopsy-a first of its kind in SAARC countries.

He has conducted around 5000 Medicolegal autopsies till date and has been involved in many sensational and highlighted cases at the State/National level of CBI/referred from Judiciary. He has 110 publications to his credit in different national and international journals. He has presented the research papers in more than 20 conferences/workshops/ symposia and has been awarded best faculty presentation in IAFM Forensic Medicon 2018 and Forensic Medicon 2020. He is resource Faculty in National Judicial Academy, CBI Academy and National Investigative Academy (NIA).

Having special interest in the field of Hospital administration and Forensic Pathology he was designated as Mortuary In-charge and Incharge Histopathology in the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He has been part of several committee constituted by Government of India to formulate guidelines & protocols for various Medicolegal work in the country. In his routine course of medicolegal duties, his approach is towards the Dignified Management of Dead and humanitarian Forensics. Towards this goal he has been member of organizing committee in many symposia and workshops part and has introduced significant changes in the Mortuary practice towards comfort of the relatives of deceased.
