About
Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Assam Skill University, India. I obtained my Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar. My research focuses on the design and development of advanced metallic materials, with particular emphasis on aluminum alloys, metal matrix composites, high-temperature materials, corrosion engineering, friction stir processing, and advanced manufacturing.
Prior to joining academia, I gained industrial experience in the development and commercialization of advanced aluminum-based materials and battery technologies, providing me with expertise in translating laboratory research into engineering applications. My current research aims to develop lightweight, high-performance, and corrosion-resistant materials for automotive, aerospace, marine, and energy applications.
My research interests include microstructure–property relationships, materials characterization, corrosion behavior, sustainable manufacturing, and welding technologies. I am committed to fostering industry-oriented engineering education through interdisciplinary research, laboratory development, and skill-based learning.
