About

Dr Rajeeb Kumar Sah is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Public Health, Strategic Lead International for the School of Human and Health Sciences, and Co-Chair of the Asian Staff Affinity Group at the University of Huddersfield. Trained as a Medical Doctor, he holds a PhD in Health and Social Care (Public Health), an MSc in Public Health, and Postgraduate Certificates in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and International Relations & Globalisation (PGIRG). He is a Chartered Manager and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr MCMI), as well as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and the Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH).

Dr. Sah’s research spans a wide array of pressing global health issues, including mental health and wellbeing, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, and the persistent inequalities that shape health outcomes. His work critically engages with the social determinants of health to explore the lived experiences and health outcomes of marginalised and disadvantaged populations through an intersectional lens. His research is rooted in a deep commitment to promoting and advancing global health equity and addressing systemic disparities across diverse populations through interdisciplinary and community-engaged research. His community-engaged work collaborates with global societies to generate evidence that informs inclusive, culturally responsive, and equitable evidence-informed public health policy and practice. As a qualitative researcher, Dr Sah brings methodological expertise in Co-production and Participatory Research, Ethnography, and Systematic Reviews.
